Visby’s only city camping – Visby Strandby
On this site, along the promenade just outside Visby’s city walls, there has reportedly been camping since the 1930s. The proximity to Visby’s range of activities, shopping, restaurants, and attractions makes Visby Strandby Gotland’s only city camping.
A visit here should feel out of the ordinary. Some of it we can influence by constantly thinking innovatively and enhancing what this beautiful place offers, such as the opportunity to shower under the open sky and enjoy food on our lovely outdoor patios. Others are created by nature itself – the sea, the beach, and incredible sunsets.
Visby Strandby consists of approximately 70 cabins, 10 pre-pitched tents, around 100 camping sites, and space for about 60 tents.
There are three service buildings on the premises, kept clean and fresh all day.
During the peak season, there are nearly 20 people working at the facility. We are here to offer good hospitality that creates wonderful memories of the most important time of the year – the summer vacation.
