Our opening hours are as follows:

The campground is open until October 1st.

The reception is closed for the season, so all check-ins are done through the check-in machine located at the reception.

Booking support is available on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM if you need assistance with bookings or have questions. You can also make reservations through the online booking system on our website or directly at the check-in machine if there are available spots.

It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk to Visby City Wall and the center of Visby, and around 20 minutes to reach Almedalen.

Yes, it’s free throughout the facility.

Check-in for camping: From 2:00 PM. Check-out by 12:00 PM.

Check-in for cabins: From 3:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM.

If departure cleaning is booked, check-out is at 10:00 AM.

Yes, please let us know, and we will provide instructions on how to find your cabin or campsite. Check-in for cabins can be done on the day of arrival from 3 PM until late at night and early morning. For the campground, there is a check-in machine that can be used for both reservations and check-in from 12 PM to 1 AM on the day of arrival.

No, but you can book them for an additional cost before your arrival. Please contact us at info@visbystrandby.se and provide your booking number, and we will assist you.

No, however, you can book a crib and high chair for an additional cost. All occupants in the cabins should be specified at the time of booking.

Cleaning is the responsibility of the guest. Departure cleaning can be booked up to 48 hours before arrival. Please contact us at info@visbystrandby.se and provide your booking number, and we will assist you.

Norderstrand – Restaurant & Bar serving stone oven-baked pizzas, cold beverages, ice cream, and coffee is available on the premises.

Not on the premises. The nearest grocery store is ICA Kometen on Lummelundsväg or ICA Torgkassen on Stora Torget, Visby.

There are designated barbecue areas both within the facility and on the beach. Personal barbecues are allowed as long as they have tall legs. Disposable grills are only allowed in the designated barbecue areas.

Yes, there are two charging stations on the premises. In Visby, there are also charging stations, such as at the Almedalsbiblioteket parking lot.

The campground has European standard electrical outlets with CEE connectors (1-phase, 230V, IP44) with a ground fault circuit interrupter. Adapters for the standard Swedish plugs (230V grounded) are available for purchase at the reception.

In the service buildings, you will find showers, toilets, sinks, washing machines, a kitchen, dishwashing areas, and a changing table. These facilities are shared by all camping guests, so we all work together to keep them clean and well-maintained.

In two of the service buildings, you’ll find kitchens. One is slightly larger, and the other is a bit smaller. These kitchens are equipped with a stove, microwave, sink, and dishwasher. Please note that dishes and pots are not provided, so you would need to bring your own.

Four kronor per minute. Ten minutes of shower time are included in the booking price for each accommodation guest, and additional time can be purchased at the reception or our northern service building. We have 21 showers distributed across the three service buildings. Please be mindful of water conservation as there may be water scarcity on Gotland.

Each site has space for a motorhome, a caravan, or a tent. Most of them also have room for a car.

When the site is booked and paid for, you have the same spot throughout your entire stay. It might be a good idea to leave something as a signal that it’s booked when you leave, but it’s not necessary.

The facility has waste sorting for household waste (compost and combustibles), glass, paper, plastic, and metal. We kindly ask our guests to follow the guidelines for waste sorting, both for the environment and for everyone’s well-being.

There should be a minimum of four meters between the units, leaving two meters free to the neighboring pitch. This is important, especially for fire safety.

Vehicle traffic is allowed on the premises between 07:00 and 22:00. At other times, it’s only allowed for arrival or departure.

Subject to availability, it is possible to rent bicycles. They cannot be reserved in advance and are rented on-site at the reception.

Most of the time, it’s very quiet and peaceful. During the high season, the facility is staffed with a night supervisor whose task is to ensure that it’s quiet on the campground after 11:00 PM.
